Volunteer at a Health Care Center, Antigua, Guatemala

You are the one who can assure these children to have the chance to grow up safe and healthy.

This volunteer project is carried out at a health care center that comes from a dream of an Italian couple, to provide assistance to those most in need and to promote the concept of community health from prevention and primary health care.
This Italian couple began to make their dream real in 1983 when they established the first Health Center in Burundi, Africa. From that time they did not stop, they continued adding people able to help in the project and they have achieved recognition around the world.  The organization that this couple founded, currently has 8 health care centers distributed in Burundi, Tanzania and Guatemala.
This organization not only provides medical assistance to those most in need, but also includes educational projects for children from 4 to 12 years old, in which volunteers are also welcome to participate. In Guatemala, the projects are carried out in Antigua and Yepocapa, where you can contribute with your knowledge and iniciative in order  to assist all people in the community who come daily to the center.

Join this project and make the difference!

Due to the current  need in the health sector, the services provided by the center are diverse  like medicine, dermatology, gynecology, diabetology, dentistry, etc. Including health education and prevention.
This international organization host volunteers from different countries, that makes this project an excellent opportunity to  learn about other cultures, new languages and make friends. All of them like you believe that a better world is possible.
The warmth, persistence and initiative of volunteers who every day make the health center go forward, are reasons enough to believe that our contribution even it is not so much, can  improve the lives of many people and even a community. You can be part of this challenge! Sign up!
This volunteer project is not available from November to January.
