Copán Ruins: This magnificent archaeological park is perhaps the greatest source of information about the ancient Maya civilization. Walking through the ruins it will transport you back many centuries where one day the Mayan civilization flourished.

Cascada El Rubí: This beautiful waterfall is located only 9 km of Copán Ruinas. After a rewarding trek you can refresh in crystal clear waters.

Horse Riding: To live an authentic experience we recommend taking a tour on horseback. The tour takes place in communities of the ethnic group Maya-Chorti, a descendant of the Maya. You'll also visit local crafts and the banks of the Copan River.

Butterflies: From west side of town is the Butterfly and Nature Exhibition park, where you will find 30 species of butterflies and 200 species of orchids. A natural spectacle is an essential part of your visit.

Macaw Mountain Bird Park and Nature Reserve: This is an innovative tropical bird reserve, especially birds that have been rescued and are in danger of extinction in the American tropics. Do not miss the opportunity to meet the most picturesque birds of Central America.

Archaeological Museum: In this museum located in the city of Copán you can find many objects recovered from the ruins, in a place ideall to broaden your experience and knowledge about the ancient culture of the Maya..
