The city of Manuel Antonio is located on the Central Pacific Coastal Zone of Costa Rica. It is a small town, but very close to other major cities of the country. Manuel Antonio also features a national park, beautiful beaches, wild jungles, and stunning mountain ranges. Manuel Antonio is coined as a tropical paradise for natural sceneries with its sandy beaches, clear blue water, mountainous hills, and tropical rain forests. Manuel Antonio is also home to one of Costa Rica’s most amazing national parks, and it's filled with all sorts of outdoor pursuits. The town is a natural haven for adventurous nature lovers.
Manuel Antonio’s National Park is small and counts with three major trails. Still, its biodiversity and ecological wildlife is endless, and you’ll need some hours to explore it in depth. The park is renowned mainly for its lush rainforests, pristine secluded beaches, and coral reefs. Some of the most popular beaches are Playa Hermosa beach, Quepos Beach, Esterillos Este and Esterillos Oeste, Dominical Beach, Puerto Escondido Beach, among many others. All these beaches are perfect spots for surfing, and some of them are the paradise of fishers. For more adventure experiencing rafting in Costa Rican rivers, the Savegre and Naranjo rivers are the best options, since they are quite near Manuel Antonio and a great challenge to your rafting abilities. Quepos is a small town quite nearby , it offers many options for day-time activities, such as horseriding and mountain biking, and it has a great nightlife since the town is packed with tiny bars and pubs.

It's easy to get to the park by bus, which is quite inexpensive and you can get almost everywhere.

The driest months at Manuel Antonio are February, March and April. During the rainy season you can expect lots of water, we mean LOTS! The rainy, or ‘green season' lasts from approximately May to November with noticeably drier days during the rest of the year. The average annual temperatures range from 31.7°C on the coast to 16.7°C inland.
